Enroll
Children need to be five years old by August 31 in order to begin kindergarten in that school year. The state mandates that children between the ages of seven and 16 attend public or private school.
Your child is considered a “new student” if they never attended Union County Public Schools (UCPS) or previously attended a school within the district and want to re-enroll. Students are eligible to attend school within the district and are assigned to home schools based on the domicile of the student’s parent.
Once you have completed the online enrollment application through Infinite Campus, the zoned home school will follow up regarding any additional requirements.
For questions or inquiries regarding the enrollment process, please contact the school's data manager.

Attendance Maps
Union County Public Schools are organized into nine secondary school clusters, each with designated feeder elementary schools for the current school year. Attendance area maps and feeder school information for each cluster are available through the provided links.

Pre-K Scholars Enrollment
UCPS is committed to offering outstanding early education experiences. With four distinct Pre-K programs, we cater to the diverse needs of every child. Each Pre-K option offered by UCPS has specific eligibility requirements.

School Choice
Looking for the right fit for your child? Through School Choice, families may apply for admission through lottery to any elementary, middle or high school within the district whose student population is no more than 85% of the capacity, as determined by the district.

Dual-Language Immersion
Students are immersed in a second language through the study of core academic subjects, including language arts, math, science, and social studies. DLI offers families a rich academic experience and helps students develop proficiency in two languages.

Kindergarten Enrollment
Kindergarten is an important milestone for your child and family, and UCPS is here to help guide you through the enrollment process. Union County parents who wish to enroll their student in kindergarten may do so in Infinite Campus, our online enrollment portal.

Student Transfers
School transfers allow K–12 students to attend a school outside their assigned attendance area based on availability and district guidelines. Families may request a transfer for reasons such as academic programs, family needs, or school preference.
